Data Engineer

We are currently looking for data engineers to join our growing Dublin team.

About this Project

Responsibilities:

• Design, development and deployment of a large scale AWS Cloud-based enterprise data integration.
• Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
• Support the design and implementation of emerging technologies to solve use cases across my clients' Process Automation programme.
• Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
• Implement data solutions and automate data processing.
• Develop and implement a strategy for process data compilation from various platforms and aggregation of the data into a format suitable for searching and analysis.

Requirements:

• BA or MA in a quantitative or hard science discipline: statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, engineering, applied mathematics, economics, physics, chemistry.
• 2+ years experience in the data warehouse space.
• 2+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 2+ years experience working with either a Map Reduce or an MPP system.
• 2+ years experience with programming languages, R/Python preferred.
• 2+ years experience working with and analyzing large data sets to solve problems.
• Hands-on and deep experience with schema design and dimensional data modelling.
• Ability to write efficient SQL statements.
• Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Able to engage directly with business stakeholders (marketing, sales, finance etc.) to understand their business objectives; and working with our data analysts and data scientists to implement the most appropriate solutions to meet client's needs.
• Being self-motivated, creative and collaborative.

Data Scientist Apprenticeship

We are looking for ambitious apprentices to join our talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a dynamic and innovative team working on exciting data projects in a number of different industries. We provide a supportive, fun working environment to help support our staff to deliver the highest quality results, and commercial value to our clients.

About this Project

The 9 month apprenticeship programme will be broken into 3 stages. At the end of each stage apprentices will be evaluated on a go/no go basis. For the second and third stages a stipend will be paid. The apprentice will be assigned an Idiro mentor and will receive training in different areas such as data mining and its application to business problem solving. At the end of 9 months, successful apprentices will be considered for full time employment with the company.

Objective of Apprenticeship:

Develop a deep understanding of how data science can be applied to business and the world around us.
Learn how to manipulate, transform and wrangle data from different data sources.
Become proficient in real-world data science and the many and varied modelling techniques and technologies that make data science possible.
Engage with internal and external clients and master how to present and discuss the outcomes of data mining and predictive modelling with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Expectations:

You posses a drive to further your skills and work on exciting data analytics projects.
You are familiar with tools such as R, Python, SAS, Tableau or Qlik as well as having worked with SQL and relational databases.
Good communication and presentation skills as well as excellent written and spoken English.
You must be eligible to work in the EU.
Having knowledge of Linux, Java and Red Sqirl would be an advantage.

Requirements:

• Fluent English
• You have a postgraduate qualification in a quantitative analytical or information
management related discipline

• You have at least two years’ experience in an analytics-related role
• You are skilled in SQL
• You are able to work independently with limited supervision
• You have experience building dashboards (in any visual analytics tool)
• You have a proven track record of delivering complex analysis to non-technical
stakeholders
• You have a proven track record of collaborative development.
• You have data management, analytical and reporting skills

Marketing Apprenticeship Program

• Master how to present and discuss project outcomes with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Expectations:

You possess a drive to further your skills and work on exciting projects.
You are highly creative and have a passion for technology.
You understand the principles of inbound and outbound marketing technology and ideally are familiar with some popular platforms.
You are familiar with Google Analytics and other marketing analytics platforms.
You have a deep understanding of SEO principles and email marketing concepts and practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and spoken English.
You must be eligible to work in the EU.
An interest in the data and analytics industry would be an advantage.
