AI Compliance

Deploy AI you can stand over, with your board and your regulator.

Overview

Compliance by design

AI is now regulated. The EU AI Act, GDPR and a growing list of sector rules mean the question is no longer only whether your models work, but whether you can prove they are fair, explainable and under control. Compliance bolted on at the end is slow, costly and rarely convincing.

Idiro builds compliance into the way AI is designed, deployed and operated, covering the EU AI Act, governance and accountability, explainability, bias and fairness, data protection and human oversight. We have delivered bias audits, ethics reviews and compliance programmes for regulated clients across financial services, telecoms and the public sector.

Where this engagement helps

The patterns we see most often in clients who reach out about AI compliance.

Regulatory uncertainty

The EU AI Act is here and obligations differ by risk tier. Most teams are unsure which rules apply to which use case.

Black-box exposure

Models that cannot be explained to a regulator, an auditor or an affected customer are a growing liability.

Bias and fairness risk

No systematic testing for discriminatory outcomes, and no evidence trail if a decision is challenged.

What AI compliance covers

Compliance is not a single control, it is a set of interlocking obligations across the AI lifecycle.

Outcomes you can expect

Measurable change, not just a deliverable.

What’s included

Common questions

Does the EU AI Act apply to us?

It applies by risk tier and by role. Most organisations are deployers rather than providers, which carries lighter but real obligations.

What is an algorithmic audit?

A structured test of a model’s data, performance, fairness and documentation, producing evidence you can hand to a regulator, a customer or a board.

We use a vendor’s AI. Are we still responsible?

Largely, yes. Deployer obligations do not transfer to the vendor, so you need evidence from them and controls of your own.

How long does a compliance review take?

Two to four weeks for a single system. Portfolio reviews scale with the number of models in scope.

What do you deliver?

A findings report, a fix list ranked by risk, the evidence pack, and wording you can publish or give to candidates and customers.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. We provide technical and statistical evidence. Your counsel decides the legal position, and we are used to working alongside them.
