Introducing an Enhanced Net Promoter Score (NPS) product which uses Artificial Intelligence

Introducing an Enhanced Net Promoter Score (NPS) product which uses Artificial Intelligence

Idiro Analytics launches a limited beta programme for Predicted NPS for customer-centric companies in Ireland.

Dublin, Ireland, April 27, 2021

Since its launch nearly 20 years ago, Net Promoter Score (NPS) has become a key business metric for measuring customer sentiment across the world. All companies want to know what their customers think of them, and billions are spent annually on surveys that ask a simple question – the likelihood of recommending a product or service to a friend on a scale of 1 – 10.

Recent research has shown that companies with a positive NPS score grew revenue 1.4 times faster and increased customer lifetime value 1.6 times more than other companies.

Today, however, NPS scores are hampered by low survey response rates. Also, GDPR opt-outs from over contact have resulted in NPS scores that do not accurately reflect the sentiment of the company’s entire customer base.

To overcome this, Idiro has announced the launch of its Predicted NPS product that uses advanced analytics and AI to:

  • Provide 100% insight into customer sentiment across the customer base and measure individual customer experience
  • Determine the drivers of, and provide root cause analysis for, Promoter Experience and Detractor Experience to predict future sentiment and NPS
  • Enable companies to intervene and engage with their users based on predicted customer sentiment

“This is an opportunity for companies who are invested in customer experience, and want to grow their revenues by understanding customer sentiment right across their customer base and also the drivers for that sentiment. More importantly, it enables companies to take actions to ensure reduced customer effort and increased customer lifetime value, while providing an optimal customer experience,” said Aidan Connolly, CEO of Idiro Analytics.

Idiro has built the Predicted NPS product in conjunction with a major telecommunications company and is now inviting up to three customer-centric companies to join its Predicted NPS beta programme. These companies will have the opportunity to shape the future of the product in terms of function, direct integration to campaign management tools and data visualisation.

Idiro researcher invited to speak at MACSI 10

The importance of academic research has never been underestimated here at Idiro Analytics. Encouraging our analysts to explore new and innovative technologies and techniques when solving data problems has always been a part of Idiro’s company culture.

Bridging the gap between academic research and industry is an area Idiro are very proud to be involved in. With this in mind, we’re happy to report that our colleague Davide Cellai was invited to be a speaker in the workshop to celebrate 10 years of MACSI.

This is Davide’s report from the event:

“Last week I participated, as an invited speaker, in the workshop to celebrate the 10 years of MACSI. MACSI (Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry) is a consortium based at the University of Limerick that promotes collaboration between applied mathematicians and industry.

MACSI was founded in 2006 by the largest single grant ever awarded to mathematics in Ireland, and since then it has been quite a special point of reference in the country for mathematicians interested in industrial applications. I had been working in MACSI for more than four years and I knew the people over there very well. MACSI engages in industrial collaborations both at the national and international level. People in the consortium work hard to improve products and processes for the industrial partners and provide advanced training in mathematical modelling to students and researchers.

A presentation slide on a projector explaining the long standing relationship between Idiro & MACSI

Idiro and MACSI have a long-standing collaboration. Indeed, Idiro is always keen to collaborate with academia. As we continuously improve our models and expand our range of services, we often employ cutting-edge research to meet those challenges. In 2014, when I was still in MACSI, I won a Science Foundation Ireland Industry Fellowship, a grant that gave me the opportunity to move to Idiro and apply Network Science models to the problem of predicting telecommunication churn, using one of the datasets available in the company. This work was so successful that I was later hired by Idiro as a Senior Data & Analytics Architect.

In my talk, I illustrated the model (called m-exposure model) that I developed during the Fellowship and the outcome of this work. While the m-exposure model was designed for portout churn, we then developed a similar model for expiry churn. Both models are now part of Idiro’s suite of SNA tools for churn prediction.

Finally, I presented some new ideas and challenges that we would like to pursue in the near future.

There was a lot of interest in my talk. I got both great questions and great feedback (and lots of compliments) in the following hours. Some of the scientists in the audience were particularly interested in Idiro’s future projects. Hopefully, we will get some good ideas for designing our next products.

The workshop was also very interesting in its own way. I listened to some great envisioning talks. In one of them, Professor Wil Schilders was comparing the benefits of faster computer hardware with faster algorithms. His point was that the latter was actually more interesting. In other words, it’s often better to have a new algorithm running on an old computer than an old algorithm running on a new computer. Some other talks were also speaking about how science can improve society, from the elimination of tropical diseases to exact calculation of delay time after a road incident. I was delighted to be invited to such a great event.”

Idiro Analytics – proud to announce the launch of our new website

Idiro Analytics Logo

Here at Idiro Analytics we’re very excited to announce the launch of our new re-designed website, which has gone live today at www.idiro.com

Following our recent name change earlier this year, we wanted to provide our customers, and potential new customers, with a new website that more accurately represents Idiro Analytics, what we do, and how we have grown from where we began back in 2003.

We have carefully designed a new website layout, that now has a better user experience, and will help our customers find all the information they need about Idiro, and answer any questions they may have.

We are also extremely proud of the experience and expertise of our staff and we wanted to showcase this. Our company page now shows more information about our company, and the people in charge, who are always driving Idiro Analytics forward.

Our CEO, Aidan Connolly said:

“I am very pleased to introduce our new Idiro Analytics website. This new website reflects where Idiro is today and our company’s evolution over the past twelve years. We work hard to always stay ahead in an ever-changing technology world,  and this new website is another representation of that work. On behalf of everyone here in Idiro Analytics, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.”

Idiro ladies to tell all at Geek Girl Dinners, Dublin

Idiro are proud to sponsor the August meetup of Girl Geek Dinner Ireland. The GGD Ireland initiative was formed as part of the wider International Girl Geek Dinners to promote the exchange of knowledge and to provide a platform for women in technology and science to network in Ireland. Sarah Lamb, the founder of Girl Geek Dinners started this group with a few friends in London and the rest as they say, is history. The dinners grew in size and various types of cuisine, but the format has stayed consistent, more or less. Informal, casual but focussed on delivering and sharing knowledge/geekiness!

As part of the “Idiro night” for the Geek Girl Dinners, Dublin – August meetup, we hope to introduce people to the “happening” world of Analytics and Data. Clare will take the guests through the Idiro story – a brief introduction to the company and team, highlighting the key services and solutions Idiro provide. Krithika will then try to explain how data is all around us and why we should analyse it to arrive at “intelligent” decisions.

See http://ireland.girlgeekdinners.com/2015/07/30/august-2015-meetup/

Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Big Data, all the hot/current buzzwords aside, this talk checks other boxes too, it is about a group of people passionate about what they do, how they help each other and work together as a team to achieve success (well their own definition of it anyway).

Idiro sponsor hugely successful Kilkenomics festival

Kilkenomics

Idiro Technologies were proud to sponsor the Kilkenomics 2014 economics and comedy festival last week which, once again, was a huge success in County Kilkenny. Top economists, bankers and academics from all over the world joined Irish economist and broadcaster David McWilliams, along with some of Ireland’s top stand-ups and comedians, for a long weekend of intensely entertaining debates and stripped back Q & A sessions, not to mention a lot of laughs in the back rooms of many of Kilkenny’s public houses.

David McWilliams spoke highly of Idiro over the course of the weekend and acknowledged that Idiro are an “amazing company who have analysed over 14% of the world’s population” and are “a company that we should be focusing more on“.

Idiro Announces Partnership with Newtoms

MEDIA RELEASE

Atlanta & Dublin – 28th October 2014

NEWTOMS and Idiro Technologies Announce Partnership

Winston Rivero & John Dunne

NEWTOMS, Subject Matter Experts and leading provider of specialized professional services related to Data Collection-Mediation, and Idiro Technologies, a leading provider of advanced data analytics and pioneers in Social Network Analysis Technology today announced a partnership.  This partnership gives NEWTOMS the right to offer Idiro’s services in the Latin American markets and strengthens its Mediation, Insight, Action orientation around CDR Analytics and Telco Industry; similarly the alliance gives Idiro Technologies the right to offer NEWTOMS’s specialized professional services related to Mediation and Interconnect billing solutions already widely deployed in Europe today.

Idiro’s advanced Social Network Analysis (SNA) platform helps Telco Marketing, Anti-fraud and Customer Experience staff to segment and target customers. Idiro uses voice, SMS and data traffic call detail records to build up a detailed picture of the social communities within the customer base. Idiro’s analytics are predominantly used to improve customer acquisition and customer retention and to increase ARPU via cross sell/upsell opportunities. Idiro SNA’s analytics focuses on the relationships rather than the individuals – the right approach for the emerging markets where the pre-paid customer is predominant and the information available about pre-paid customers is scarce.

According to Winston Rivero, co-Founder and Executive Director of NEWTOMS, “This partnership will draw a combination of technology, services and skills from NEWTOMS and IDIRO to help operators GET subscribers, RETAIN them, GROW ARPU.”

By combining NEWTOMS’s specialized professional services with Idiro Technologies’ SNA platform, telco customers will mine data from their existing Mediation systems and draw insights from CDRs via SNA technology. This will allow the telco to identify influencers, predict churners, and select targets for successful acquisition and cross-sell campaigns.

According to both parties, this partnership will prove to be most beneficial, as each company’s solutions complement the other. As stated by Winston Rivero, co-Founder and Executive Director of NEWTOMS, “By offering NEWTOMS-IDIRO synergies, we will help our clients to successfully mine their ever-growing amount or CDRs and their rich mine of traffic data, gain competitive insights by identifying key influencers in their networks and execute successful word-of-mouth campaigns, member-get-member strategies, churn reduction and finally improve their EBITDAs.”

According to John Dunne, Idiro Chief Commercial Officer, “NEWTOMS is an ideal partner for IDIRO; they have an excellent track record in Latin America, they are subject matter experts on the existing data collection and mediation system and Interconnect billing solution already deployed in more than 50 sites in Latin America, they are experts offering Mediation, Insight, Action and by combining our award-winning technology and NEWTOMS expert services, we can, together, help mobile operators turn raw data into actionable insights, therefore enabling fruitful action. By integrating IDIRO’s SNA platform with NEWTOMS services, we are now in a position to offer mobile operators an end-to-end solution that will positively impact their bottom-line”.
